Meredith is a professional photographer with over 15 years of experience. She began her career as a portrait photographer in 1997 wher she refined her style and lighting techniques in a commercial family-friendly studio. She quickly opened and grew her own business, Meredith Mashburn Photography. In addition to full-time work, her personal business focus now includes fashion, editorial, commercial, and lifestyle photography. While Arkansas is her home and well-loved backdrop for photos, she welcomes every assignment with an opportunity to travel. She thrives in a collaborative setting and embraces the chance to work as part of a team. Meredith has taught for young ones for many years through programs at The Fayetteville Montessori School and with our parent company, PIXEL™ at The New School. This is a new camp for us this summer. It will focus on capturing the things that capture our attention. Students will learn how to become confident and comfortable in front of and behind a lens. They will learn how to see the world through the eyes of a photographer and learn what it takes to make a photograph more than just a picture. We will have the opportunity to practice our new skills by taking photos of the other NERDIES™ Summer Sessions. At the end of this session, students will have started their very own portfolio of unique and creative photographs!
Campers are encouraged to bring their own camera, but they may also use an iPad camera or phone camera.
COMPUTERS & SOFTWARE
We will have computers available for all campers. If you have a computer we can help you get setup to continue to work at home!
NERDIES™ Summer Sessions will be held Monday through Friday from 9am-3pm. Lunch is not provided. Campers will need to provide a sack lunch.
A NON-REFUNDABLE payment is required to hold your spot for NERDIES™ Summer Sessions. In the event your child is unable to attend the payment can be applied to future NERDIES™ offerings.
